The Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, Pocahontas County, is located in some of WVA's most rugged and remote country. The railroad offers trips into the mountains with original steam-driven locomotives. The railroad uses the same line today, as the ones used in 1901 to haul lumber from the forested mountains to the mill in Cass. The engines stop at Oats Run to take on additional water at spring. The engineer watches over the process. |
